Vacation 2007

I wanted to go to Vegas. Cory said she didn't want to be pregnant in Vegas because she wouldn't have a very good time. She's thinking Mexico...again. I suggested a cruise. Our friends said "NO!" to that. Here's how the thought process went:

If Cory is going to be pregnant, then we may have to rethink the whole vacation destination anyway. I don't know if Mexico would be any better than Vegas. That is why I thought a cruise might be good. We would just have to keep Leslie doped up on dramamine. I only say that because I don't think pregnant women are supposed to eat fish or shrimp or anything like that and also because of the WHAT IF factor when dining on anything in Mexico. I just thought that at least on a cruise you would know that the food would be safe and it would probably be fun. I know a place where we can get some really cheap cruises. Then again, I also thought of New York, or Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut or Boston or maybe even Disneyland. I really like Disneyland and think that everyone else should too, I mean, whats not to like. There are also alot of beaches in this country and I like beaches too. I also like water, so that works out pretty good with the whole beach idea. I also like mountains, which don't have beaches but do have water, only not saltwater, freshwater and it is usually cold. BRRRRRR! But it is really pretty and we drink cold water so it wouldn't be bad either. Maybe we could all go to Mount Rushmore I don't know how that thing happened but I bet it would be cool to find out. If we go there maybe we could go on into Canada, EH? I don't know why anyone would but they might. What do you think everyone would like? As you can see I have many ideas, how about that! I probably have more but then it would seem like I am just rambling on and nobody wants to read some crazy guys ramblings.

Right?

Can't go on a cruise if you are past your 20th week. Steph & I found that out the hard way!!! How about deep sea fishing off the coast of Cabo??

Get a helmet ... SERIOUSLY!!!

People get sick on cruises ALL the time and they have to evacuate ... Leslie's motion sickness is the LEAST of our concerns!!!

Cozumel here I come!!!

Hey guys! I just got the email on your blog. I LOVE IT! I can't figure out how to leave a message other than this so 'here it is!" I miss you Cory!!!!! (u 2 Randy :)) I'm a little afraid of cruises. Especially with all of the sickness that seems to be running thru them! Personally, I think the beach is the way to go! :)
Love,
Christina

Go to Disneyland then I can visit with you!!! If you do take a cruise then if you leave from the port of LA or Long Beach then I can pick you up at the airport and take you to the ship!! I went to Vegas preggers and it wasn't that bad, I drank juice and gambled, shopped, shopped, shopped, and saw a show.(Not to mention all the eating!!!!)

Hey everyone!!! I'm so glad to see some comments! I will have to make Randy post more often...

Miss you too, Christina! And Erin, I think LA would be a fun place to start and end a cruise. If I do get pregnant on this round of IVF, then we'll be cutting it close to the 20 week thing though. We'll just have to see what happens!

Okay, I know Andrew posted already, but I have to put my 2 cents in. I love cruises BUT I agree with Andrew. If she is past her 20th week, forget it! Coming from someone who was recently pregnant and visted Mexico while pregnant, it's not as fun because you crave the good beer and mixed drinks. They are sooooo good. I personally didn't have any problems with the food while I was there. Just had to limit my intake of fish. My vote is anywhere that is relaxing (beaches are great)and you can get pampered (like massages). New York is not a bad idea. One thing you CAN do while pregnant is shop and sightsee. I also like Andrew's idea of Cabo. It looks so relaxing there and the water looks perfect.

I agree that somewhere warm would be fun. Although, I hear that having a baby in your belly is like carrying around your own personal heater. I thought about NYC, but I'm not sure I would be able to do too much walking without swelling. At this point, I might not even be pregnant, so I'm not worrying too much about it until I have a reason to. I do like the idea about Cabo though. If you have some ideas about trips let me know. And if you guys want to go at the same time, let's plan on it. I know Leslie and Mary Jane are already going planning the trip with us, and if anyone else wants to go, the more the merrier!
